Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), which was formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), offers degree and diploma programs at various Undergraduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG) and Doctoral level, in the fields of Engineering, Sciences and Business and Management Studies. 

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for all courses

The candidates seeking admission to the UG programs need to complete their 10+2 from a recognized board, with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subjects.

The candidates seeking admission to the PG programs need to complete their graduation from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subjects.

Admission Process

MAKAUTaccepts admissions to all the courses offered at its campus, on the basis on the entrance examination conducted by the university. The duration of the examination and the syllabus depends on the course for which the candidate has applied.

GATE scores are also accepted for the relevant course programs.

The entrance examination is an essential part of the admission process for the majority of the courses offered at MAKAUT. The aspirants need to first clear the entrance test and when selected, shall appear for an interview round/group discussion.
